All you need for this trick: a normal deck of cards, scissor or thin knife, small envelope, and some steel wool.
Pro Tips: You can seal the envelope or tape it shut so it seems even more impossible for the card to have appeared inside. To erase the ink from the center of a Joker Card, rub it gently with steel wool, then buff it with a napkin to make the surface smooth again. Be very careful when cutting up cards to place inside the envelope.
You can tell the story of a card moving through a time machine or black hole. Laser beams can also be involved if you want it to be really dramatic. Get creative with your own original storytelling device to really engage your audience. This technique can also be done with other cards now that you know how to erase certain portions of a single card face.
Marty Grams teaches more unique tricks in a course also on this platform called: “Magic You Can Make.” Here’s other series to watch next: “Encyclopedia of Card Moves” and “16 Money Making Card Tricks.”
