Setup: All you need is any coin and a cloth napkin or handkerchief to catch it. Usually, sitting near the table will make this much easier. Place the napkin in your lap to catch the coin. If you attempt to stand by the table, the coin can slide off and bounce on the floor.

While your hand is rubbing the coin, gradually push it back toward the edge of the table with your hand. This is a very subtle way to slide it into your drop cloth.

Pro Tip: We recommend adding this effect to be part of a multi-step routine. Signed coins can be used as long as you decide on a way to make them appear later, so you’re not grabbing it directly from the cloth. A faster version of this method includes sliding the coin off the edge of the table in one swift motion.
