Setup: All you need is a regular deck of cards. Two quarters can be added for dramatic effect, but that’s up to you. Place any card above the real card you want to reveal. They will be stacked on top of each other face-up.

You can tell the story of a chameleon card that can change their appearance instantly. As your hands come across to cover the deck, grip the top card with your lower hand. With the card now hidden under your palm, move your hands to the side and gently press them flat to the table. This can be combined with any card trick where you are revealing the spectator’s chosen card. They may think you got their card wrong, until you do the color change, surprising them.

Pro Tip: A quarter placed on each of the top two cards can add another layer of deception because your audience will believe it’s the same coin…and only the card below it magically changed.
