Setup: This trick is based on a simple force method used on many other magic props. All you need is a six-sided die, blue-backed Ace, two, three, five and six face-up cards of any suit. And a red-backed four card in the same suit. Write a small prediction on a white piece of paper that says: “You will have the red card.” Fold up that paper and place it into a small envelope. Now, you’re ready to perform.

Pro Tip: If you only have one deck and can’t have different back colors for the cards, mark the face-up four card with a big X or a signature on the back so it can still match your prediction. You can seal the envelope or even hide your folded paper in a nested box to make the reveal more suspenseful.
